Frederick is a truly passionate Economic Development professional with over 10 years of experience in the field — beginning with his work at Réseau Environnement as an Export Agent where he personally organized and participated in trade missions targeting the environmental technologies industry, including Pollutec Inc. of France and Poleko Inc. of Poland — and supporting business export projects for Québec based companies.
Following his sting at Réseau Environnement Frederick was asked to join the Québec Government‘s office in Paris, as a Business Development Manager for the Economic Affairs Department; in this capacity, he organized the Québec portion of the Paris Air Show Le Bourget. During his time in Paris, he had the opportunity to write a landmark report on economic relations between France and Québec. Upon his return to Canada, Frederick accepted a position as Project Manager and Export Agent at the Montreal branch of the French Chamber of Commerce.
Frederick is currently the CEO of CIDEP which he co-established with his partner Ludovic Ortuno in 2006. His responsibilities include prospecting companies located in Québec, Eastern Ontario, and the Maritime provinces. He is as well a specialist in identifying qualified leads in the Aerospace & Defense Sector. Frederick is also in charge of promoting CIDEP’s services in French speaking markets.
When not travelling the world, you will be able to find Fred in the middle of a quiet upstate New-York river fishing for tasty trouts.
